My mom and a few of her sisters got the idea to start to gather a few recipes from the family and put them together to give to friends and relatives. But they didn’t wan’t just another spiral bound church cookbook. All along, they wanted a hardcover book that would stand up to and stand out from any professional cookbook they could get at the store. So what began as a fairly basic idea turned into over a year of research and recipe testing and a 300 page cookbook that our whole family can have to pass down.

My goal in designing the book was to showcase the hundreds of images that were gathered and organized as well as making the recipes organized and easily readable by all who would be looking at it.
